In spite of being raised in a very low-income household by parents with 4th and 6th grade educations, dedication, grit, and infectiously exuberant passion has led Josh Mendoza to get into Stanford before truly accomplishing his childhood dreams at the age of 27.  However, that’s not the most interesting thing about him.  Josh is also dedicated to giving back, and founded a non-profit focused on mentoring under-privileged youth, to provide them easier access to the path he blazed.  This did not come easily, and he overcame material struggle when living out of his car for 3 years, and today is challenged by both perfectionism and being altruistic almost to a fault. We dive into his story, with the aim of providing you with wisdom he’s gained.

While the episode does not follow the typical format as much as other episodes, letting the conversation flow as it did felt like the right thing at the time.
